The 2011 “Galactic Blast- A Cosmic Adventure in God” Vacation Bible School Program was a great success.  Volunteers from both David’s UCC and Pope John XXIII Parish gave their time and shared their talents to make it a success.  A total of 91 students from both churches attended.  The program included story time, music and dance, game time, craft time, and even science experiments.  The children also donated and put together 90 “Health Kits for Haiti” as part of a service project.  These were shipped to Haiti to help those in need. The stories were engaging and life-long lessons memorable. 

To make it easier on parents’ dinner was offered each evening thanks to “Butches” Restaurant and Jack Henicheck’s services.  The time and effort of all volunteers is much appreciated.  If interested in helping next summer please contact Pope John XXIII Parish and leave a message.  There are several ways to get involved.  It is rewarding to see how excited kids are to come back each evening. 

The date or program has not been selected yet for the summer of 2012.  Next summer’s vacation bible school will be held at David’s United Church of Christ in Canal Winchester.  Children ages 4 years to age 12 are welcome to participate.
