Rev. Charles J. Miller is a Deacon at Pope John XXIII Catholic Church. He and his wife Judy have three grown children; Patricia, Colleen, and Brian.  In addition to his duties at Pope John XXIII Catholic Church, he is also the Business Manager at St. Pius X Church and School.  Prior to that he worked for Kraft Foods and retired as the Director of Distribution for the Mid-Central U.S. after 35 years of service.  He is a veteran of the US Navy. Deacon Miller’s hobbies have included coaching baseball, playing softball, running, and golfing. He also enjoys working in the garden.

Deacon Miller holds a Masters Degree in Theology from Ohio Dominican, Columbus, Ohio and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Wilmington College, Wilmington, Delaware.

He describes his ministry here at Pope John XXIII as follows:
“Deacons are best described by who they are rather than by what they do.  The main point of my ministry is to be of service to the people of PJXXIII in word, sacrament and charity.  There are a myriad of meetings and committees I attend, but what is essential is to be a person of prayer, to be open to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and to be a follower of Jesus.  All that and recognize that I am a fallen human being who is in need of the grace of God on this journey of conversion.”
